FAQs

We want to be as transparent and willing to help with our residents, staff, and families for every question or concern. Please take a look at the frequently asked questions and our answers that might help save some time. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out!

Do you have nurses on staff?
Yes, our full time RN and LPNs at each location are available to answer any care/nursing questions regarding your loved one. They oversee all of the resident cares and medications.

Do you allow pets to visit?
Yes! Pets can visit, please speak with our Activity Coordinator to set up details and secure permission with your pet.

Are residents allowed to have a car and drive while living at Harvest Home?
Yes, our assisted living houses have spots available for parking and with nurse and doctor approval, residents are welcome to have a car while living with us.

Do you have a beautician?
We have a beautician to wash/set, perm and/or color hair. An appointment can be scheduled with the activity coordinator at each location for our in house salon.

Do you have foot care onsite?
We have a RN who comes in monthly to pamper residents who wish to have a foot soak and toenail trim, topped off with lotion application and foot rub. The charge is $35 and done with resident petty cash monitored by our Activity Coordinator on site.

Do you have doctors onsite or can we keep our own provider?
Yes! Harvest Home is happy to work with an existing doctor to allow for consistency for the resident. If taking loved ones out to appointments is becoming too much, we can also provide on site NP and Doctors that visit our locations so that the residents do not have to go out for visits as well.

Does each resident have their own thermostat?
Yes! Each room includes a personal thermostat unit it to make it as hot or as cold as the resident prefers, again this is included in the pricing and not extra fee.

Do you do your own laundry?
If the resident would like to be involved in doing their laundry, they are certainly welcome to. However, we do take care of everyone's laundry, wash it separately and regularly and even help to put it away based on each resident's capabilities and needs. This is not an additional cost, it is a part of our inclusive pricing and taking care of our residents’ needs.

Can residents receive therapy while living at Harvest Home?
Yes! Therapies including, physical, speech, occupational, etc are all welcome to come to work with residents one on one in their home so they do not have to take the trip out.

Do you accommodate special diets?
We have certified dietary managers at each location and our owner is a registered dietitian, so we can certainly accommodate any special dietary needs and create a plan specific to each resident's needs.

What are visiting hours?
Visits are encouraged! We do not have set hours, we simply ask that you allow for your loved ones to have proper attention for meal times or be mindful of what is in their best interest for cares.

Does Harvest Home take care of housekeeping?
Yes! We have housekeeping at each location and help to keep the homes looking their best. This is included in the pricing and done on a regular basis.

Do you monitor and administer medications?
Yes, our RN Administrators oversee and delegate all medications on site. They will work with you to help get medications set up through pharmacy as well. RN assessments are performed monthly to make sure residents are consistently monitored and getting what they need.

Is hospice provided onsite?
Yes, hospice is available to come to be a part of the care plan for residents on site at our homes. We work with multiple hospice associations, each resident and family has the right to choose their own. If you need suggestions or contacts, we can provide some options for this as well.

Do you have cable and wifi?
We have both cable and wifi! They are included in the pricing, so you don’t have extra costs or hidden fees.
